The crew of Moser Baer’s ‘Kanden Kandhalai’, which had donated the wood house it constructed for the film in Pollachi woods, has asked the government to evacuate it, owing to poor maintenance.

‘Kanden Kadhalai’, directed by ‘Jayam Kondaan’ Kannan, has Bharath and Tamannah in the lead. A remake of ‘Jab We Met’, the film has been progressing at a brisk pace, and is eyeing an August release.

A large portion of the film has been shot in Theni and Pollachi. In Pollachi, for a scene that required a house of wood, art director Rambon, created a magnificent real wood house, which, following the film’s shoot, was donated to the forests department.

The house, which was later given to the department, was meant to be used as a tourist spot by the government. But the film’s crew, which recently checked the site, has asked the forest department to remove the wood house. Being promoted as a tourist spot, the crew was surprised to see it in bad shape. Not wanting any unforeseen accident owing to its poor maintenance, the crew has asked the department to evacuate the house.
